Vineyard HOPLE in Paczkowie

A wonderful vineyard which we cooperate for years...

Hople - Winnica Poraj Paczków
Paczków  is one of the oldest Polish towns which was granted with city charter at the beginning of XIII century. Paczków is also called by another name Polish Carcassonne which offers many attractions. It's the only Polish town surrounded by XIV century fortified wall with 19 bastilles and 3 tower gates which are preserved in a perfect condition.
Five ha vineyard, which was established in 2005, lies only 3 minutes from the market square. Optimal slope, good soil, light gritty ground, quartzose debris, mild winters and warm summers - all these constitute perfect conditions for viticulture.
Among the cultivated white varieties are: Kerner, Kernling, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Siegerrebe, Chardonnay, Traminer, Riesling, Johaniter, Seyval Blanc. The red varieties are as follows: Pinot Noir (four clones), Acolon, Cabernet Cortis, Regenet and Rondo. The first vintages of wine from Paczkowa received high notes from respected wine tasters.
At the foot of the vineyard there lies an antic XVIII century barn. In this renovated building, there are the vineyard, rooms for wine making as well as Metemuzeum Motoryzacji with a fine cars collection.
