One of the most interesting tourist attractions in Lower Silesia is the underground tourist route in a former gold and arsenic mine in Złoty Stok. It was no sooner than in XIII century when appeared the first records about mining. From that time forward there were drilled over 300 km galleries, mine shafts and drifts up to 21 storeys. You tour the mine with a guide, it takes about 1.5 h. During the tour you may see over “Sztolnia Gertruda” (the museum part),”Sztolnia Czarna” the only waterfall in Poland and “Chodnik Śmierci” where you can meet a gnome.
