VILLA ELISE IN STRONIE ŚLĄSKIE
Villa Elise has over 120 years of remarkable history behind it. We — Sylwia and Rafał — became part of this story in 2007, when we made the bold decision to save a historic building and transform it into a boutique hotel with a soul.
Today, we are delighted to welcome guests who value a warm, friendly atmosphere, excellent cuisine based on local products, and comfortable relaxation in a place with true character.

PEOPLE WITH PASSION
Villa Elise in its present form is the result of our passion and love for this place — and this is no empty phrase. We took great care to renovate the building while preserving as many original design elements as possible, which together create its distinctive and unique character.
Guests are captivated by the historic staircase, impressive stained-glass windows, wood panelling, frescoes, and ornate tiled stoves. Our restaurant, Kaczka i Wino, quickly became a well-known name on the culinary map of Lower Silesia, above all thanks to our genuine passion for good food.
Over the years, Sylwia has become a sommelier and an enthusiast of Lower Silesian wines, while Rafał has gained recognition for his bread, awarded the Culinary Heritage of Lower Silesia label. We continue to grow — and together with us, Villa Elise continues to evolve.
A PLACE WITH HISTORY
We will not tell the entire story of Villa Elise here. But for those for whom history matters, we would like to share a few words about the people without whom this place would not exist. The first of them is the most renowned historical figure of the Kłodzko region — a local heroine. Loved during her lifetime and fondly remembered after her death, her name is still carried by places, roads, and even rocks to this day.
Princess Marianna of Orange purchased Stronie Śląskie (then Seitenberg) and the surrounding lands in 1838. She commissioned the construction of the first solid roads connecting the town and significantly contributed to the economic development of the Kłodzko Valley. It is therefore no surprise that when a glassworks was established in Stronie Śląskie in 1864, it was named Oranienhütte in her honour. The first owner of the glassworks was Franz Losky — the second key figure in our history.
Founded by him, Oranienhütte operated for 154 years. It provided employment for local residents and produced high-quality glass valued both in Poland and abroad. It is reasonable to assume that the success of this enterprise encouraged the Losky family to settle in Stronie Śląskie. In 1900, a beautiful villa was built, featuring a wooden staircase and stained-glass windows that continue to impress our guests to this day.
The residence was named Villa Elise — most likely in honour of Franz’s daughter. More than 90 years later, after many historical upheavals, the villa was purchased by Piotr Adamczewski. He had known the building since childhood — in the 1960s, it housed a kindergarten he attended. Several years later, he encouraged his daughter and son-in-law to take care of the villa and restore its former splendour.
And this is how we came to be here — Sylwia and Rafał. For over 20 years, we have been caring for the historic heritage of Villa Elise, creating a place of meeting and relaxation amid the natural beauty of Lower Silesia.
